How long have you worked at Transmarine? One year and counting!

What’s something you enjoy about your job at Transmarine? I love coming together as a team to make important company decisions, and the continued opportunity to put my people first.

How would your coworkers describe you? One word: “quick.”

Tell us about an exciting or interesting project you’ve worked on at Transmarine. Last year, I helped lead Transmarine through a lot of changes in order to get us up to date on our technology and refocus our company mission. I was proud to spearhead those initiatives with the talented Transmarine team, and after a full year of changes we are ready to take on new opportunities in 2024!

How long have you worked in the industry? I’ve worked in the shipping/logistics industry for 20 years.

What is your professional background before you started work at Transmarine? After graduating from Cal Maritime Academy, I sailed offshore, worked for a tugboat company, then was employed by another ship agency before signing on with Transmarine in 2023.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I’m blessed with three kids, so my “free time” revolves around them and the activities they enjoy. I’m a Girl Scout Troop leader of 24 girls, on the board of my kids’ swim team, and involved in everything they want to do. We only get so much time with our children, and I want to take advantage of every special moment.

Anything else you’d like to share about your professional background or current role to be included in your Employee Spotlight? I am now one year into my leadership position at Transmarine, and I feel great about where we were when I started versus where we are now. The talent here is endless! We all share the same passion for the maritime industry, and it shows in the excellent customer service we’re so proud to provide.
