Event Raises Over $2.8 Million for United Service Organizations, Red Cross, Junior Achievement USA, and Other Beneficiaries
Transmarine Navigation Corporation – a leading U.S. tramp agency with offices in a dozen port cities along the Gulf Coast, West Coast, and Hawaii – recently participated in the MPCGives 2024 Invitational Golf Tournament and Clay Shoot.
Transmarine signed on as a Silver Sponsor of the Clay Shoot portion of the dual-venue event, which took place October 14 at the Joshua Creek Ranch and JW Marriott Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, Texas.
The $2.8+ million raised over the weekend will be donated to a variety of non-profit organizations including United Service Organizations (USO), American Red Cross, and Junior Achievement USA.
“We’re proud to have taken part in such a monumentally successful event,” said Leslie Clements, Transmarine’s Managing Director. “MPCGives supports many non-profit organizations already making an impact across the country, and we’re happy to do our part.”
MPCGives is the non-profit arm of Marathon Petroleum Corporation. In the 13 years of this event, MPC Gives has raised more than $18 million for nonprofit organizations in the communities across the country where their employees live and work. It actively seeks to make investments and partner with charitable organizations in three areas that reflect the priorities of its community stakeholders, align with its values, bring its strategy to life, and where it believes MPC can make a positive, measurable impact: Thriving Communities, Workforce Development and Sustainability.
